The Portsmouth Distillery Co. is a premium artisan spirit producer. Established in 2018, our home is in the fabulous eighteenth century Bastion of Fort Cumberland. Located on the southeastern tip of Portsea Island – Surrounded by the Sea and Centuries of naval history.
We produce a range of spirits for your enjoyment. Buy through our online shop, in person at the Fort or at one of the many events we’re exhibiting at. We’re passionate about the artisan spirit movement and giving Portsmouth it’s own distillery for the first time in hundreds of years.
An Experience To Remember
Join a tour of The Portsmouth Distillery, set in the stunning Fort Cumberland at Eastney point (PO4 9LD) for just £22 per person. All Tours have been rated “excellent” on Trip Advisor, so come and discover why for yourselves.
Enjoy a full tour of all facilities, with expert explanations about the processes used in the creation of our fine spirits. You’ll learn about our passion and the history of historic Fort Cumberland, learn how we make our amazing spirits and visit the jewel in our crown, the Powder Magazine. There you’ll get to taste our fabulous 'core-range' spirits* and have a chance to soak up some of the history of the place we are proud to call home. Once you’ve tasted the spirits and chosen your favourite, your ticket will also include a full sized drink of your choice*, and of course you are welcome to stay for a few more in our fully licensed bar.
There is a shop at the distillery, stocking the full range of our spirits, gift packs and merchandise so you’ll be able to take something home to continue to enjoy The Portsmouth Distillery experience.
When visiting the Fort, we kindly ask you to respect the onsite speed limit of 10 miles per hour. There is plenty of parking right by the Distillery and we have full wheelchair accessibility for the whole tour.
All Tickets are fully refundable and transferable upto to 24 hours before your booked tour.
* 'Core-Range' spirits only. Tastings of our 'Premium' spirits (such as 1812), are not included in this tour package.

How To Book
Please look at the calendar below and select the tour you wish to take, then simply purchase as many tickets as required. There is no minimum number - within reason of course! Please note, you must be over 18 to join a tour.
Tour Gift Vouchers are available on our online store. Vouchers are valid for twelve months. If you have a voucher, please check availability below then call us on 02392733339 to book onto your preferred tour and confirm your place.
